Important Information: |
Sets and staging for some performances or events may fall within the definition of construction work. If so, people entering the construction site are required to complete the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (Australian Safety Compensation Council, May 2007). Achievement of the unit 'CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry' from the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package fulfils this requirement. |
Course Details
This qualification reflects the role of individuals with the skills and knowledge to perform in a range of varied activities in the creative industries where there is a clearly defined range of contexts. Activities are of limited complexity with required actions clearly defined.
Hours of Study
Classroom (face to face) delivery is conducted daily over six weeks. There is a practical collaborative excercise that forms a significant part of the final assessment, and after hours time will need to be spent with the collaborative team to plan and execute this aseesment component.
Additionally, some elective options may include the completio of High Risk Licencing elements. These activities will be underatken on different locations away from the core training site, and may involve travel. You will be given full details when you make your booking for this course.
Resources Required
- All course materials are provided to the student in printed format, but may be available in electronic format for assessments.
- Students may require access to a computer or internet at home/work or you may use those available at our facility during normal business hours (if available)
- Assessments may be submitted electronically via eMail, on an USB memory stick, by a link to DropBox (or similar) or in hard copy version via mail. (Ensure that you retain a back-up copy of your assessment tasks.)
Entry requirements
You are required to have:
- Intermediate computer skills in order to utilise online resources (if required) and to complete take home assessments
- A high level of literacy and numeracy
- Access to the internet and a current email address
